Whether you are writing as an English teacher, professor, or a professional writer, we all need to get someone else to edit our work. And we are close to what we have written and it is always necessary (at least) the second pair of eyes to look at what we wrote.

part of why we should be concerned about additional regulation of 'eyes' is because if there are words misspelled in our articles or on our web site, there are people who can not concentrate on anything else apart from our mistakes! I work with super smart people so I know it's true! So, before you submit articles to a publisher, you need someone else to read and find / fix any typos, misspellings, incorrect grammar, etc. If you send something peer-reviewed journal or book publisher, they will clean it more If an article / manuscript is accepted, but still want to put our best foot forward to make a good impression.

There are many places where you can get help on this:

a good friend (who is also a great editor), who is happy to do it for you for free. a good friend or colleague who is happy to do so - and will be happy to have you do something for him / her. Only trade / barter situation. someone you hire (top high school, student, stay-at-home mom / dad who wants to earn a little extra money and will do the verification and editing for you, elance.com or some other service where you can find a copy editors, etc.) only for internet search and you'll find plenty of people who can help. I would recommend making sure that they are native speakers of the language you write in, however.

and see if you can find someone to look at your work before you post it on your website or add to the publishing house, magazine, journal, etc. It's worth the effort and minimum cost can include.
